Who rents it
Most calls come in on a Monday morning, from someone whose week just fell apart.
Your truck is in the shop
Transmission, DEF system, a chip body that finally gave up — whatever it is, the crew still shows up Monday. Rent this one by the day until yours is back.
You’re running a second crew
Two crews, one chip truck. Rent for the busy stretch instead of financing a second truck for work that only exists eight weeks a year.
More work than iron
After a nor’easter the constraint isn’t leads — it’s hauling capacity. Add a truck for the week and take the work.
Landscapers & land clearing
A big clearing job, a spring cleanup contract, a lot that needs brush hauled out. Rent for two days rather than subbing it out.
Municipal cleanups
Brush collection weeks, storm response, and park or cemetery cleanups — without a CDL driver on the roster. Purchase orders welcome.
Shopping for a chip truck
Run this one for a week before you sign for one of your own. This truck is also available for purchase.

Why gas matters
Diesel trucks in this class come with DPF and DEF systems. A gas V10 means no regen cycles in the middle of a job, no DEF to buy, and any driver on your crew can run it without a lesson.
What you need to rent
- Certificate of insurance — $1,000,000 minimum commercial auto liability, plus physical damage. The DuBose Corporation must be listed as additional insured and loss payee. Your agent can email it over in an hour.
- Named drivers — everyone who will drive the truck goes on the agreement, with a copy of their license. No CDL needed; a regular Class D license is fine.
- Signed rental agreement — one page of terms, plus a walkaround checklist we do together at pickup and return, with photos.
- Refundable security deposit — quoted with your rate, refunded after the return inspection.
- Fuel out, fuel back — take it full, bring it back full.
- Stays in New England — anywhere else needs to be agreed in writing first. No hazardous materials, ever.
Don’t carry commercial auto insurance?
Then ask about the with-operator rate instead. We supply a licensed driver with the truck, our insurance covers it, and you just tell us where the brush is going. It’s the fastest way to get moving if you’re not already carrying a policy that covers a rented unit.
Call 774-701-6374 and we’ll tell you in two minutes which one fits.
Towns and municipalities
We rent to municipal departments and can work from a purchase order, with a W-9 and certificate of insurance provided for your procurement file.
Service area
Pickup is in Foxboro. Most renters are within an hour of us. Delivery inside roughly a 45-minute radius can usually be arranged on weekly and monthly rentals.
Questions we get
Do I need a CDL to drive it?
No. The truck is rated 26,000 lbs GVWR, which keeps it under the commercial driver’s license threshold in Massachusetts and every other New England state. A regular Class D license is enough, as long as the driver is named on the rental agreement. One caveat: if you tow a trailer heavy enough to push the combined rating past 26,001 lbs, CDL rules can apply to the combination — ask us and we’ll walk through it.
Does the chipper come with it?
No — this is a truck-only rental. The chip body hauls chips and brush; you bring your own chipper.
What’s the shortest rental?
One day. Most breakdown rentals run three to five days, and most spring and fall rentals go out by the week.
How fast can I get it?
Usually same day or next morning, if it isn’t already out. The slow part is almost never us — it’s waiting on your insurance agent to send the certificate. If you know you might need a truck this season, get the COI request in early and we’ll keep it on file.
Can I take it out of state?
Anywhere in New England, yes. Beyond that we need to agree in writing before it leaves the yard, because of how the insurance and registration are written.
Who pays for tolls, fuel and tickets?
You do, for the rental period. Tolls and any violations that arrive afterward get passed through to the card on file, along with an administrative fee per incident — it’s spelled out in the agreement so there are no surprises.
What happens if it breaks down?
Call us immediately. Mechanical failure that isn’t caused by misuse is on us, and we’ll either get it fixed or stop the clock on the rental. Damage from abuse, overloading, or an accident is on the renter and their insurance — that’s what the COI is for.
Do you rent to towns and municipalities?
Yes. We can work from a purchase order and provide a W-9 and certificate of insurance for your procurement file.
Is the truck for sale too?
It is. If you’d rather own it, it’s listed here — and a week’s rental is a reasonable way to test it first.
Check availability
Tell us the dates and we’ll confirm the truck and send the agreement plus the exact insurance wording your agent needs. If you’d rather just talk, call 774-701-6374 — that’s a real phone, answered by the owner.
Truck down right now?
Call instead of filling this out. We can usually have you moving the same day.
