The Morbark Eeger Beever 2131 is one of the most powerful brush chippers in the Morbark lineup, built for whole-tree processing. The diesel version runs a Caterpillar C7.1 Tier 4 Final engine with a full DOC + DPF aftertreatment stack. Whole-tree chipping puts enormous demand on this system. Why Catalytic Converters Fail on This Machine
The Cat C7.1 runs a more capable aftertreatment stack than smaller Tier 4 engines, but it faces the same fundamental challenge in chipping service. Intermittent high-load operation followed by shutdown prevents the DPF from completing passive regen cycles. Plugged filters force active regen at the worst times — often when the machine is sitting between jobs — and repeated thermal cycling cracks the substrate. Left unaddressed, a degraded DOC/DPF reduces engine efficiency and triggers derate events that take the machine out of service.

- Get your converter to us. Choose drop-off or shipping at checkout and we’ll send instructions — drop-off is by appointment at our Foxboro shop, or ship it to us from anywhere in the country. We rebuild your unit with new internals.
