Carrier EA36YD121 TXV Valve

The Carrier EA36YD121 is a genuine Carrier replacement TXV, or thermostatic expansion valve. The TXV meters liquid refrigerant into the evaporator coil, opening and closing in response to the temperature sensed by its bulb at the coil outlet so that the coil is fed just enough refrigerant to maintain the designed superheat. A TXV that sticks, loses its bulb charge or becomes restricted causes poor cooling, a starved or flooded coil, abnormal superheat readings and, in some cases, compressor damage.

Verify part number EA36YD121 against the Carrier parts list for your coil or unit, since expansion valves are matched to capacity, refrigerant and connection size. Shipping weight is approximately 2 lbs.
