The Honeywell Home S8801A1046 from Resideo is an external direct spark ignition (DSI) control module for gas-fired furnaces, boilers and heating appliances. It is a low-voltage control that fires an external high-voltage spark generator to light the burner, using a two-rod configuration with one trial for ignition and a 4-second trial time. Flame failure response time is 0.8 second minimum to 1.3 seconds maximum at 5 uA, 60 Hz, and the control is listed to UL 60730-1 and UL 60730-2-5.
