Thinking about deleting or gutting your cat instead?

A straight-pipe looks cheap — until it costs you a machine. Two reasons it’s the wrong move:

Modern chipper engines are tuned to run with the converter. Pull it and the ECU throws codes, drops into limp mode, and derates your power — you trade a running machine for one that fights you all day.

🔒 It’s permanent — no undo

Gut the converter and the original core is destroyed for good. When you need it back, your only option is a new OEM unit at about $9,000. A $1,550–$1,750 rebuild keeps the original working.

How does the core exchange work?

Order your rebuild online or by phone, then ship us your existing converter (the core) with tracking and insurance. Full shipping instructions arrive with your order confirmation. Once your core arrives we rebuild it and ship it back.

How long does a rebuild take?

Approximately 1 to 2 business days from the day your core arrives at our facility, plus shipping time each way. You receive tracking as soon as your rebuilt converter ships.

Do you offer pricing for fleets and repair shops?

Is the rebuild warrantied?

Yes. Our rebuilds are warrantied against manufacturing defects in our workmanship and materials. Because a wood chipper’s operating conditions — excess heat, fuel or oil contamination, or physical damage — can affect any converter, the warranty covers how we build the unit, not damage caused by the machine.
